The Asian Institute Bookstore is small but eclectic. Titles range from standard acupuncture and Oriental medical texts to volumes on western medicine, energy medicine, Feng Shui, Asian bodywork of all sorts, esoteric literature dealing with health and healing, and more. We also offer a limited number of cards and other items related to Asian medicine and philosophy.

Alex Holland, M.Ac., L.Ac., is the President of the Asian Institute of Medical Studies in Tucson Arizona. He is an acupuncturist, educator and composer. He was one of the first graduates of the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Seattle in 1985 and did his clinical training in Chongqing, China, in 1985. Alex was the Academic Dean of the Northwest Institute from 1992 to 1996 and former Chair of the Board of Directors. He currently divides his time between teaching, administrative work, writing and exploring his creativity through music.

Johndennis Govert holds a Northwestern University MBA is planning and organizational design. He has twenty one years experience in this field. He is the co-founder and first President of the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Seattle. He is a Soto Zen priest, holder of the Roshi, or Master, degree and is founder of Daikakuji - Great Enlightenment Temple in Phoenix. He teaches classes and leads retreats in Zen meditation, Qigong, Western astrology, Oriental philosophy and Feng Shui Tao.
